Our times can be characterized by the overwhelming dominance of medialization which prevails in a variety of social settings: home, private spaces as well as the public world and public spaces. What are the implications of this process? Is it possible to say that medialization automatically triggers a direct interest in the dominant forms of communication and in our everyday lives? The present volume aims to find answers to these questions from the point of view of communication- and social sciences.
